Spectur Origin

Spectur Separations Systems was formed in 2016 and incorporated as Spectur Separation Systems Inc. (Spectur) in 2018.

Spectur is part of a manufacturing group with over a 120 years of combined experience in the area of solids control and material dewatering. Spectur was specifically create to develop processing systems that could effectively dewater aggregate and soil mixtures in the construction industry with initial focus on 1) Hydro Vac Slurry Processing, 2) Retention Pond Desilting, 3) General Soil Dewatering, and 4) Mobile Construction Project Dewatering needs including Underground Utility Drilling. 

During the last three years, Spectur has created dewatering systems and equipment for construction industry applications including Hydro Vac Slurry Processing.  Other dewatering projects are in development including mobile dewatering solutions.

For Spectur, the main focus is to provide solutions and systems that produce the desired results versus just selling standard screening and dewatering equipment.  Part of Spectur’s mandate is to continue to be a champion of this type of approach and thinking in the construction industry.

Specific to Hydro Vac Slurry Processing, much of what you will see if you look around this developing market are processing plants with good quality equipment that work well in specific applications, but processing systems, made up of good equipment, that don’t work, or don’t work very well.  This is largely due to equipment vendors using their standard equipment lines to outfit a processing system versus developing or modifying equipment to fit the specific application.   The short coming in many Hydro Vac Slurry Processing Systems is the vendor’s failure to sell a system that can consistently produce the desired result versus finding another market to sell their existing equipment line into.

In the construction industry as a whole, when it comes to drying solids and cleaning water of suspended solids, there are many other examples of inferior results derived from re-purposing off the shelf equipment, or from utilizing outdated solutions like holes in the ground that, for the most part, are no longer environmentally acceptable.

The growing demand for more effective, and compliant based solids control solutions in the construction industry was the genesis of Spectur's origin.  Over the last 30 years, it's manufacturing group has developed vast and dynamic experience solving solids control and dewatering problems in several different industries including ...

During the last 3 decades, this group has produced 100’s of pieces of dewatering equipment, including Clarification and Centrifugal based systems, for over 40 different companies.

Virtually all the dewatering and polishing equipment supplied over the years was originally customized or modified for a specific application. Performance and reputation have created continuous opportunities and repeat customers for the group over several decades of combined operations.
